The Roost is in the village of Hathersage on the junction of the A6187 and the B6001 about ten miles west of Sheffield. There are good road links to the M1 and the M6. Trains and buses link the village to Sheffield and nearby towns.
Hathersage has a railway station on the main line between Sheffield to the east and Manchester over in the West. Trains from Sheffield and Manchester are frequent and stop regularly here.
Hathersage station has a ticket machine and tickets MUST be purchased before travel, provided that the machine is working. A smatphone app is available as an alternative to using the machine.
